What is a fluorine-lined valve ?
Simply put, a fluorine-lined valve is a special valve that is lined with a layer of dense fluoroplastic (such as PTFE, FEP, PFA) in the key parts of the valve metal shell (such as carbon steel, stainless steel) that come into contact with the medium (including the valve body, valve cover, valve disc, etc.) .
It creatively adopts the composite structure of "steel skeleton and plastic core":
Metal casing: provides strong mechanical strength and pressure-bearing capacity.
Fluoroplastic lining: acts as a "corrosion-resistant armor" to completely isolate the flowing medium from the metal.

Why does acid and alkali service conditions prefer it?
Extreme Corrosion Resistance: Fluoroplastic materials possess exceptional chemical stability, resisting corrosion from most strong acids (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and nitric acid), strong bases, organic solvents, and mixed media. In contrast, conventional WCB carbon steel valves rapidly develop pitting corrosion in coastal environments characterized by salt spray and acid rain. The resulting rust layer is porous and can ultimately lead to valve leakage and failure.
Significant cost advantage: Compared with all-metal corrosion-resistant valves such as Hastelloy and Monel, fluorine-lined valves can save you 80% of costs and significantly reduce equipment procurement and maintenance costs!

① Limited by high temperature: Fluoroplastic lining will soften and lose strength in an environment exceeding 200℃ for a long time. Therefore, it is not suitable for service conditions such as high temperature steam.
② Susceptible to erosion: If there are a large number of hard and sharp solid particles in the medium (such as certain slurries and mineral slurries), long-term high-speed flow will wear and scratch the lining, causing it to fail.
③ Not suitable for vacuum services: In a continuous high vacuum (negative pressure) environment, the lining is easily sucked in by the pressure difference between the inside and outside, and even pulled off from the metal shell.
